Information for 2010-2011 School Year


If you have received notification that your child has a space in Arcola Christian Preschool for the fall of 2010, please read the following information closely.

Your first tuition payment is due by May 1 and is applied to May 2010.  The second tuition payment is due by August 1

Please complete the following forms and return them no later than May 28, 2010. The Parent Handbook as well as the required forms can be found by clicking on the appropriate links below.  If you prefer hard copies, please call me.

* Emergency Treatment Information and Authorization
* Transportation/Car Pool Authorization
* Virginia Student Health Form (new students only)
* Behavior Responsibilities and Parent Handbook Sign-off.

The Health form can be turned in later in the summer, if necessary, but we must have it before the first day of school. 

You must also provide proof of your child’s identity and age, in person, before the first day of school if this will be your child’s first year at ACP. You may use the following for proof of your child’s identity and age:  a certified copy of your child’s birth certificate, birth registration card, passport, copy of the placement agreement or other proof of the child’s identity from a child-placing agency (foster care and adoption agencies), or a copy of the entrustment agreement conferring temporary legal custody of a child to an independent foster parent.  We cannot accept copies of these documents and will return the original upon viewing it. 

You may mail your forms or drop them off at the preschool between 9:00am and 12:15pm Monday through Friday until May 28  (24757 Evergreen Mills Road, Dulles, VA 20166).  You may also bring your child’s Virginia Student Health Form and proof of identity during this time or to our Parent Orientation on September 12 or on your child’s Open House day. 
 
We will have a Parent Orientation meeting (adults only) on September 12 at 7pm.  Open House for parents and students will take place at assigned times on September 13 for the M/W/F, M/Tu/Th, and M-Th students; September 14 for the Tu/Th students; and September 15 for the W/F students.  This will give you and your child the opportunity to meet his/her teacher and become familiar with the classroom.  (Open-top school bags will be available to purchase and decorate for $5 on Open House days.  We highly recommend these because they are MUCH easier to use than backpacks. Your child’s first full day of preschool will be on the first regularly scheduled day following Open House.

You will receive the name of your child’s teacher and your assigned Open House time in late August.
