at Arcola Church

Arcola Church's Care Ministry offers care and support for those in our congregation and community. Whether you are ill, homebound, hospitalized or need support or friendship — we are here for you. For we believe that healing and care lead to a more compassionate life. Communication is a key part to our Care Ministries, so if you know someone in need, or your are in need, or if you are interested in joining our Care Ministry, please contact our Chair of Caring Ministry, Lisa Korhnak.

Care at Arcola Church consists of the following:

Angels on Call provides emergency, short-term care in the form of meals, transportation, childcare and household chores.

Health and Wellness provides health education, blood drives, flu shots, speakers, fitness classes (coming soon) and a Parish Nurse.

Our Email Prayer Chain Group will pray for you and those
you love!

Gifts of Care provide cards of encouragement & baby blankets. and Prayer Quilts (by our Prayers & Squares ministry).
 
The Legends is an outreach care ministry group for those in our church and community who are ages 55 and up.
 
Visitations are provided, by trained lay persons, to those who are hospitalized, homebound, in nursing homes or unable to attend worship services. Contact Lisa Korhnak for more information.

Counseling is available to those going through a spiritual and/or life changing event or crisis. Contact Pastor Chris for more information.

Care Resources are available through support groups and Care Notes pamphlets available in the narthex. If you have questions about books, audios, videos or other resources to help with relationships, spiritual, mental or health related issues, contact Carolyn Balcom, our Parish Nurse, Molly Riedel, Lisa Korhnak, or Pastor Chris.

A Night of Hope Worship Service is a special worship service in December that acknowledges people who are having a difficult holiday season because of heartache, pain, loss or frustration. Our 2012 service will be held on Sunday, December 16 at 7pm.
